Imagine the biggest, most fun, yard sale you’ve ever been to … and then some! With bargains by the thousands, you’ll take home some sweet treasure from this semi-annual festival. Palladio exhibitors are looking to offload some of their pieces from storage, so expect fabulous deals. New items are brought out all day so be sure to check it out all weekend long! The event is free and open to the public.
The Original, (really) Big, Memphis SIDEWALK SALE is where you’ll find decorative pieces at garage sale prices. For Real! It’s under a huge tent, outside the tent, some inside the showroom. It’s a Festival! It’s an Event! Come early to enjoy it. Have lunch at nearby Cafe Palladio. Some folks return each day as items get added all during the Event. Faux finish artist Jess Ada will be demonstrating how painting furniture gives it a trendy, new look using General Finishes products. We’ll have a special selection of inexpensive tables and chests to paint DIY or by Jess. When we say it’s the Original, we mean it. It’s a blast!
Who’s selling? Exhibitors of Palladio Home & Garden.
What’s being sold? All sorts of decorative pieces: tables, chairs, chests, books, paintings, rugs, china, glassware, fabric, drapes, garden elements, ironwork, frames, shelves, stools, lamps, sofas, benches, figurines, pots, kitchenalia, baskets, desks, pillows, vases, jars, racks, window sashes, doors, garden element… on and on and on…
When? May 3-5, Thursday and Friday 9:00 am til 5:00 pm. Ends Saturday @ 4:00 pm.
Where? Palladio Interiors, 2215 Central Avenue, Memphis
Why? Why are the pieces priced so low? Well… Most is perfectly good merchandise, but for the specific exhibitor… “doesn’t fit my look”, “had it too long”, “want my money out of it”, left-overs, wrong color… Some pieces need a little attention or can be improved with a new painted finish. Let your imagination run wild.
Will there be food? Yes, Snowhaus will be serving up their fantastic snowcream treats!

A home without antiques “would be like a sentence without punctuation.” – Jamie Drake
Antiques are more than just an aged piece of furniture or jewelry. One of the main pillars of design is balance and an easy way to achieve this in your own home is adding a touch of old to balance out the new. Read More

Style Blueprint posted “Interior Designer Crush: Elizabeth Malmo of Elizabeth Malmo Interior Design” featuring Palladio Home & Garden.
Rooted in her formal design training from the New York School of Interior Design, followed by her boots-on-the-ground experience as a project manager for renowned designer Miles Redd, Elizabeth Malmo of Elizabeth Malmo Interior Design approaches each project with a complex vision rooted in each client’s personal style. She works with boldly colored patterns and statement pieces as effortlessly as she does with hushed tones and subtle lines. Using her nuanced understanding of color, scale and style, she creates interiors that feature visually arresting vignettes in inviting, livable spaces. Trust us — when you see her stunning portfolio, you’ll want to jump into each picture too. We asked Elizabeth to describe her design approach, let us in on some tricks of the trade and give us a glimpse of her work. We hope you enjoy!
Style Blueprint posted “Everything You Need to Know About Palladio, a One-of-a-Kind Memphis Brand” featuring Palladio Home & Garden.
The large, arched, stained-glass windows gleaming on the front of Palladio Home & Garden’s flagship showroom call directly to its roots. Andrea Palladio was a 16th Century Italian architect considered one of the most influential in his field, and he is the namesake of both the classic arched window style and the retail complex flowing through multiple buildings in the heart of Midtown Memphis.
The windows, designed by Memphis artisans Mickey and Ralph Laukhuff, were part of what drew interior designer Amy Howard to the building. After her sister and brother-in-law, Mindy and Frank Roberts, joined the business and added to its retail offerings, Amy eventually relocated her design studio, and the building at 2169 Central Ave. became Palladio Antiques.
Although the expansive showroom comprises wares by roughly 175 exhibitors, it is not, by any measure, what you would consider an antiques mall. Each vignette is created with a designer’s eye and is aimed at the style-savvy shopper. Although the shop initially leaned heavily toward antique and vintage pieces, the retailers now follow market demand and have an impressive mix of old and new.
