Lili Jones was inspired to paint “Lynnie’s Goat” in response to a friend’s Facebook post:
“Is this anyone’s goat?”
(If you are, in fact, missing the aforementioned goat… we wish you good luck)
Lili has drawn inspiration for her art from many other aspects of her life. Lili loves painting sheep and dragonflies because of their significance to her Christian beliefs; she explains that we are all sheep who need a shepherd, and dragonflies have always been reminiscent of the shape of the cross.
This passion for art was fostered by her lifetime family friend Coralie Tweed. One of Lili’s favorite childhood memories was walking into Coralie’s kitchen (also her studio) to the smell of fresh turpentine!
Not much has changed for Lili, except now she is scraping oil paint splatters off of her own counter tops (much to her husband Bryon’s dismay) and turpentine is odorless now! With her two girls off at school, Lili and her husband life in East Memphis in their not-so-empty nest with their labrador, Otis, and a cat named Howard.
You’ve GOAT to be kidding me…
Lili is a much loved member of the Palladio Sales Staff, and her coworkers clearly value and appreciate her works of art…
A staff favorite? GABBY!
You can find “Gabby” and more of Lili’s work on display at the front desk of Palladio Interiors and throughout both Interiors and Antiques.
Come check out this great local art! We know you’ll love it (and Lili) as much as we do!
